Deep Com Roots, a distribution and international sales agency and strategic partner of ISII Group, has announced the appointment of David Corchero as Head of National Theatrical Sales & Exhibition Strategy, where he will lead the company’s theatrical sales and exhibition strategy in the Spanish market.

With more than 20 years of experience in the commercial division of DeAPlaneta Entertainment, including the last 14 years leading the department, David Corchero has been involved in the commercial launch and positioning of some of the company’s most prominent titles, including Conclave, The Physician, 12 Years a Slave, Nuremberg, The Girl on the Train, and Now You See Me 3. Earlier in his career, he worked at Lauren Film, where he was involved in the distribution of titles such as Scary Movie, Chicago, and The Hours.

In his new role at Deep Com Roots, David Corchero will oversee the development of the distributor’s national theatrical sales and exhibition strategy, working across every stage of each release, from initial planning through its theatrical rollout. His responsibilities will include defining commercial strategies, developing relationships with exhibitors, planning titles’ presence across the theatrical circuit, and optimizing their theatrical performance and box-office potential, in coordination with the Development, Marketing, and Communications teams.
